Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who began her career with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comic perspective. She then expanded to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via the trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. While at school, she studied journalism as well as women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. The focus changed towards music after she completed her degree. After becoming famous through the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The song was specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her travel guide for 2015. The singer decided to make acting as a profession following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. Aside from early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered an array of noteworthy performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
