Antonia Lofaso
The cuisine of Chef Antonia is an invitation for guests to explore the deep. Food is what stirs curiosity. It was born after she stepped outside of her Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse scene that is Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting in the same dish is what she believes in. What remains, however, in all of her dishes is an unifying view of the future that longingly remembers the old. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 that was immediately a hit. Lofaso has been praised for her interpretation of traditional Italian dishes. Lofaso serves consistently delicious food at Scopa, a neighborhood favorite. Its patrons describe it as authentic and satiating. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to learn their refined techniques. She was also not afraid to make extraordinary decisions in order to follow her intuition. She quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went on to work closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso collaborated with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was a new bar situated in Studio City. In Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find a home. Lofaso could find the space to be creative that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market has no one direction in mind and that's the way it goes. It could begin with potato chips dill and shishito chili peppers. Then it's a lobster roll Korean wings, and then a series of meatballs. The underlying ingredient in this dazzling array of flavors is Antonia. Lofaso evaluates her achievements throughout her career by her ability to know her audience and stay true to her personality. She's appeared on of a variety of television shows including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars as well as Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized in her role as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For quick Delicious homemade Meals in 2012. This cookbook also tells about her struggles while raising Xea and studying at The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso claims that the motivation behind all of her success originates from her kitchen. This is how she keeps a pulse on the current happenings. With her Chefletics brand, she is revolutionizing the aesthetics of her field by redesigning clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as functionality. Lofaso is committed to remaining true to your values and your goals. In order to achieve this, she's launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new business will give customized experience for customers.
