Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. She is an Michigan native who was born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is of Polish origin (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair in the performing arts from the age of a child. When she was in 1992, the actress appeared at her first audition and won an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. She also started taking acting lessons in private at that time. Bell was on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school, and she was awarded the role as Dorothy. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre upon graduation. Bell was a graduate in 2001, left her college studies in order to take on her role as Becky on Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell was the first to make her credit debut with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the scene she played was removed from the film, and she only appears as a credit. In 2002, Bell was in the Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
